Sunday morning, breakfast and departure to Assisi - Umbrian City (Superb medieval citadel, St Francis birthplace, built on the foot of Subasio Mountain and "still" surrounded by the ancient walls from the castle "La Rocca"). Visit to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the hermitage on the Subasio Mountain. Lunch in a restaurant, then visit to the wonderful Basilica of St Francis. In the afternoon, free time for a walk around the old centre and return to the Farm House. Dinner with music and dancing in a restaurant.
On Monday, breakfast and departure to Val D'Orcia in Tuscany. Tour with wine tasting at Banfi's wine cellar and visit to the Glass and Bottle museum in Montalcino (Montalcino has a splendid view of Meridian Tuscany onto the vineyards that produce the grape for the famous "Brunello" wine). Then, a short visit to Pienza and lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, wine tasting at the antique cellars "Redi" in Montepulciano (Montepulciano is described as the "Pearl of the 16th century" for the work applied by famous renaissance artists. Its production of the Nobile wine has been known since 790 AD) and back to the Farm House to enjoy the cooking course: preparation of "risotto", stuffing for roast meat and vegetables. Dinner at the Farm House, including tasting the dishes made during the lesson.
On Tuesday, breakfast then departure for the Etruscan City of Chiusi in Tuscany (Chiusi was known as "Chamars", the city of the Etruscans and King Porsenna who once beat Rome at war).
Tour of the Catacombs, the cathedral and the collection of antique Benedict "Miniatureted codicillus" (Codici Miniati) and the Etruscan aqueduct. Visit to Etruscan museum and tombs, then back to the Farm House to have lunch. In the afternoon second course with preparation of soup with legumes, various types of bread, "torta al testo" (local bread), "brustengoli" and "strufoli" (types of cakes) and other desserts. Dinner at the Farm House, with the dishes prepared during the lesson and tasting Umbrian wines eating typical cheeses and salami.
On Wednesday, breakfast and departure to Perugia (Master city of Umbria) (A city constructed on an Etruscan/Roman nucleus where the masters of the medieval and renaissance modeled an urban ambience of unimaginable atmosphere). Tour inside "Rocca Paolina" castle, the medieval "Sala dei Notari" (nobles meeting hall) and "Collegio del Cambio" (College of Exchangers), the "Maggiore" fountain and the Cathedral. Time at leisure for the rest of the morning then lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to the Ceramic workshops in Deruta (near Perugia) then return to the Farm House to attend the cooking course. Preparation of meat canapé, potato "gnocchi" (pasta), fried meats and various vegetables. Dinner at the Farm House, tasting the dishes prepared during the lesson.
On Thursday, breakfast and departure to Orvieto (City of Etruscan origins that perches on a hill of tufa. It is famous for its wines, an architectural Jewel, which has Romanesque and gothic works with beautiful renaissance palaces) to visit the Cathedral and "Cappella" of Saint Brizio Tour of "Orvieto Underground" and free time going exploring the centre. Lunch in a pizzeria. Short visit to the town of Todi then back to the Farm House. Medieval dinner in a restaurant in Piegaro (The restaurant's medieval atmosphere will be enhanced by the service "in costume" and the menu will have some typical Tuscan specialties).
On Friday, breakfast and departure to Tuoro sul Trasimeno where in 217 BC, one of the most famous ancient battles, the "Battle of Lake Trasimeno" between the Romans and the Carthaginians of King Hannibal took place…..the legend spoke about his gold carriage below the underfloor of the lake…..that day lake was red by bloodhound… Visit to the place of the battle and to the museum in the morning and visit to the sculptures of "Campo del Sole". Tour of Lake Trasimeno and lunch in a restaurant in San Feliciano. The menu will include typical fish specialities of the Lake Trasimeno. Return to the Farm House to enjoy the cooking course : preparation of traditional menus originally made only in festivities and for Christmas. "Ragu" (special sauce for pasta), roast meat and various vegetables. Coffee break. Preparation of home made pasta: "tagliatelle", "ravioli" and "cappelletti" (the typical Umbrian "tortellini"). Dinner at the Farm House, sampling the dishes prepared during the lesson. Participation Diploma will be given all the guests after dinner.

DESCRIPTION OF THE FARM HOUSE
Situated between Umbria and Tuscany, absorbed in the greenery of the Pausillo Regional Natural Park, this Farm House is deeply immersed in the nature and very close to the most famous and suggestive tourist resorts and medieval towns of Umbria and Tuscany. It is surrounded by a large enclosed park of approximately 10000 sqm. that is part and parcel of an estate of 120000 sqm. of olive-trees and Mediterranean woods.
The cottage has been recently restored, paying attention to the materials, in order to maintain unchanged the typology of rustic building: beams in chestnut-tree, handmade bricks for the floors and ceilings, local stone for the external walls.
The cottage rests on top of a hill at 400 m. above sea level and is surrounded by olive-groves (on the whole, more than 400 olive-trees that produce an extraordinary olive oil) and woods of Mediterranean undergrowth with various kinds of trees such as evergreen oaks, hornbeams, junipers and different varieties of pines. In the adjacent park an age-old cork tree can be admired, a real rarity for the local flora. The brushwood is rich of countless classes of shrubs among which the broom, the heather the dog rose, the hawthorn and the blackberry bush.
All the apartments are provided with autonomous heating, kitchen with dish washer, microwave oven and refrigerator, small safe, telephone, and TV sat. Each apartment has its outside patio and/or a porch with tables, chairs and surrounding deck chairs.
Facilities: swimming pool with solarium, equipped areas for barbecue, games for children , mountain bikes, private and shaded parking. At farm House it is possible to acquire the "extra pure olive oil" made by cold pressing of olives which come from our olive groves, in accordance with an old
custom.
